Why is Evolution the best choice for your Multihull?
Our team has a great range of experience and history in the world of Multihulls. Recently we delivered sails to two of the coolest catamarans racing on the California coast. We delivered a screecher to Bill Gibbs Schionning 45 Wahoo for the Ensenada Race, it was one of the first Carbon Membrane’s sold out of the California loft. Wahoo went on to sail a great Ensenada race leading the charge south boat for boat Overall for a majority of the race. They were looking good for overall line honors before a few of the largest monohulls passed on the light air dead downwind finish. Wahoo still won the ORCA division comfortably, had the second best corrected time overall and was the fifth boat across the line near some much larger faster rating boats.

For the Santa Barbara to King Harbor Race a few months later we delivered a carbon screecher and A2.5 to Chris Slagerman’s Sig 45 Vamanos. We also delivered a new A4 to Wahoo. The two boats finished first and second in the ORCA division with a very significant performance improvement on the Sig 45. The previous downwind spinnaker inventory designs were not optimized to the reality of the boats design. The new A2.5 delivered the proper amount of power allowing the boat to sail at the same speed as before, but 10 degrees lower. The Sig 45 was the 4th boat across the line - just behind 70’ monos and a TP52, 3rd Overall corrected time, and won ORCA for SBKH with Wahoo not far behind in second.
