Our membrane sails are made entirely in New Zealand at the state-of-the-art EM plant. Not only are the sails custom built to order by hand, but the sail material itself is created on-site with your sail specifications in mind. This means that our designers control the exact lamination layup, fiber composition, cure temperature and pressure before your sail material is cut and glued into a sail. Full control of the process from start to finish means absolute precision of the design shape, and in-house finishing means every final detail is just the way you’ve decided it.

Our membrane sails feature a fiber blend (typically Carbon and Technora) molded between film skins and vacuum bagged to minimise excess adhesive weight. Unlike paneled sails, membrane sails do not have stitched seams, minimising creep allowing them to hold their design shape under higher load and for more time. These sails also have the greatest durability and strength-to-weight ratio of any of our products.
